I’m still managing to keep up a weeknote and using these to capture the conversations I’m having as well as thoughts on my mind for that week. My monthnote then will be a summary in numbers of the month just passed.
January summary
It’s been a great first full month in my new role. I’m loving working with my direct team and across product, and there’s some really interesting and valuable work coming up.
I”ve noticed how motivated I’ve been to blog thoughts on different topics, and how much working in the open this way helps me do my best work in a way which feels good.
I’ve really enjoyed the in-person work this month too – doing office days with purpose seems to work best for me and be a great balance of connection, collaboration, and time working from home on things where being in-person doesn’t add a huge amount.
I’ve enjoyed the connection conversations too. Most of these have been reconnecting with those I’ve done (arguably) some of my best work with previously, but it’s been a good balance with new people too. Overall those conversations have highlighted how important relationships are, and how everyone has an interesting story.

Shall we connect?
I’m looking for conversations and opening my calendar for opportunities to connect across 2024.
My February is fairly packed with personal commitments alongside work so I’ve not got slots in Calendly open at the moment. Do drop me a message if you’d like to chat though and we can find something that works I’m sure!
If you’re a vendor please check out the latest news on my employer before grabbing a slot – these conversations are not an opportunity to try and sell to me. And if you do work at the same organisation as I do reach out on Teams so we can say hello!
You can also get in touch through the ways on my get in touch page so let’s see what we can arrange.
