I’m pleased to have contributed to the latest publication from the Institute of Internal Communications; their eBook on trends in internal communications for 2017.

You can download the eBook for free from their website here.

In my piece I discussed the role of the internal communicator in the networked organisation. I talked about how in an organisation where everyone was empowered to communicate and use networked tools to collaborate internal communicators can use existing skills to not just remain relevant but play a vital role.

Other issues covered by the other contributors include tackling uncertainty, research, video in IC, comms careers, and identifying influencers. These are all topics which could equally be applied to external communications so as a free resource it’s well worth dipping into.
